On June 21, 2023, the Senate labor committee took up three bills: equal pay, seven paid sick days a year, and the right to organize. All three passed on a party-line 11-10 vote. Collins, a Republican on that committee, was on the losing side of every one, and backed amendments to weaken two of them.
