Mike Johnson says that isn't buying votes, and answers worries about the $1.2 trillion cost by pointing to the 'wasteful' spending his budget bill cut. The biggest of those cuts was to Medicaid, with food assistance and student loans behind it, and the law still adds $3.4 trillion to the deficit.
