Political ads have always been sleazy, but MAGA Republicans are no longer just stretching the truth: they are using AI and digital tools to manufacture lies. Greg Abbott's campaign used AI to replace an American flag with a transgender flag in a photo of his opponent, and Ken Paxton's campaign generated a deepfake video of James Talarico delivering a religious monologue he never gave. Marsha Blackburn's campaign photoshopped an opponent into a prison uniform, Cindy Hyde-Smith's campaign registered a fake website under her opponent's name, and Michael Whatley's backers ran an ad using a grieving father who says he was tricked into participating. It's time to vote them all out.
