Obernolte voted for H.R. 1 and posted a statement telling constituents the Medicaid changes wouldn't push anyone off. California's own health department projects 1.1 million Medi-Cal enrollees will lose coverage by 2029-30 under the new work requirement. Forty-eight percent of his district is on the program.
