The 60 Plus Association was started with Koch money in 1992. It bragged in 1997 that it was the first seniors group to back privatizing Social Security, and it has pushed to turn Medicare into vouchers. Twelve Republicans in tight races took its award anyway.
On July 22 the House passed the Stop Insider Trading Act. It's still sitting in the Senate. Max Miller traded that same day. Michael Rulli and Kevin Hern were still trading in August.
POLITICO asked all 16 whether they'd return money from a congressman accused of assaulting his ex-wife and their young child. Brad Finstad returned $5,000. Mike Lawler said no. The other 14 didn't answer at all.
