More than 95,000 Arkansans signed a petition to protect their own right to put measures on the ballot — more than the law requires. The state counted zero of them. The Secretary of State who made that call used to be Sarah Sanders' lawyer.
A bill in Congress would point state Medicaid fraud investigators at the people who apply for Medicaid. Right now those investigators chase companies that overbill and caregivers who hurt patients — and they bring back $4.64 for every $1 they cost.

Sarah Sanders has run Arkansas since 2023 — long enough to own the results. And on nearly every measure of how we actually live — whether we're safe, healthy, fed, educated, or able to get ahead — Arkansas sits near the rock bottom of all 50 states.
Arkansas ranks #49 out of 50 states overall. Under Sarah Sanders, that hasn't budged.
And we're shut out of our own democracy. Arkansas ranks #48 for voter turnout — near the bottom for the share of us who actually get to have a say.
Add it all up and Arkansas ranks #49 out of 50 states overall. These aren't abstract numbers — they're whether we're safe, whether we can see a doctor, whether our kids have a future, and whether we can pay our bills. Sarah Sanders has had years to change our trajectory, and on issue after issue we're still near dead last. We deserve better.
We didn't vote for this. Vouchers were forced on us by Sarah Sanders in the LEARNS Act. In every state where voters actually had a choice, they have rejected school vouchers.
Presides Over One of the Worst Health Systems in the Country
We all deserve access to quality healthcare so we can live healthy and productive lives. But health outcomes in Arkansas are dismal.
Sarah Sanders:
Oversees one of the worst rated states in the country for overall health, women's health and children's health.
Supported the "Big Beautiful Bill", which slashed federal healthcare funds and allowed ACA subsidies to expire at the end of 2025. This has driven up all of our healthcare costs in 2026.
Wants to implement work requirements on Medicaid, which threaten to kick thousands off coverage, including working people in unreliable industries. The last time Arkansas tried this, as many as 18,000 Arkansans were kicked off the rolls in 10 months before the courts blocked it.
When did it become okay for our leaders to lie to us? Do they think we're too stupid to check facts? Or do they just think that we're suckers that are easily manipulated and will fall for their con?
As White House Press Secretary, Sarah Sanders lied to the American people ALL. THE. TIME. If we can't trust her to tell us the truth, how can we trust her with our lives and futures?
A few examples:
She made up a claim and admitted it to federal investigators. After Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, Sanders told reporters that "countless" rank-and-file FBI agents had lost confidence in him. The Mueller report revealed she had no evidence for it — she told investigators it was a "slip of the tongue" that was "not founded on anything."
She defended ripping families apart as "very biblical." Asked from the briefing room podium to justify the Trump administration taking migrant children from their parents, Sanders said "it is very biblical to enforce the law."
She wildly inflated a terrorism scare. Sanders claimed nearly 4,000 known or suspected terrorists were caught crossing the southern border in a single year. The administration's own data showed that over the first half of that fiscal year, the number of people in the terrorism database stopped at the southern border was six.
She pushed a doctored video to punish a reporter. To justify revoking CNN reporter Jim Acosta's press pass, Sanders tweeted a misleadingly altered video — sped up to make a routine exchange look like he assaulted a White House intern — that had been promoted hours earlier by the conspiracy site Infowars.
We deserve leaders who aren't constantly gaslighting us.
We all want a government that works for us as efficiently and effectively as possible. Unfortunately our government doesn't always work that way, so reform is badly needed. Given how big and complicated the government is, it's a tough problem that needs well-thought out solutions, so that we don't make things worse.
That's not what we got.
Sarah Sanders led the cheerleading squad as billionaire and ketamine-addled chaos monkey Elon Musk and his DOGE goons chainsawed their way through the U.S. government, promising to save the government at least $2 trillion annually in waste, fraud and abuse. Because they had no idea what they were doing and no one to stop them, in the end our government suffered, people suffered, Arkansas suffered, government spending actually went UP and Elon Musk became even richer.
Elon Musk and DOGE:
Had access to and exfiltrated (stole) all our sensitive personal information.
Kneecapped the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which had returned over $26 billion to the American people since 2011.
Attempted to cut $4 billion in funding for medical research.
Will cost the federal government an estimated $500 billion in lost tax revenue (that could pay for programs for us), due to cuts at the IRS.
Laid waste to the employees at several government departments, removing their top experts and most skilled practitioners, and making their services less effective for all of us. This badly affected veterans, who make up 30% of the federal workforce.
We'd like to thank you, Sarah Sanders, for doing absolutely nothing while an unelected South African big tech billionaire took a chainsaw to vital U.S. government functions, cut an estimated $237 million dollars worth of grants and leases from Arkansas, and completely failed to make the government more efficient. We deserve better.
Hired her crony Joe Profiri as Corrections Secretary and, without the prison board's approval, handed him a $40,000-a-year raise that took his salary to $210,000. When the board fired him, she put him straight back on our payroll as a "senior advisor" at $201,699 a year.
Bought a mysteriously expensive $19,029 lectern from a company owned by a friend of hers, and then tried to hide it.
Tried to Force A Mega Prison on a Community That Doesn't Want It
We should have a voice in important decisions that affect our communities.
Sarah Sanders doesn't believe that. On Halloween 2024 she announced that the state had already bought 815 acres in Franklin County for a 3,000-bed prison — the largest in Arkansas history — without involving a single local official, utility, or community member. The people who live there found out when the rest of us did.
She hid the purchase. Emails pried loose by public records requests showed state officials had intentionally concealed the land deal — and were passing around South Park clips to mock the residents who objected. The 815 acres cost us $2.9 million.
She lowballed the price. The first public figure Sanders gave was $470 million. Emails showed the initial estimate from an architectural firm was $1.2 billion — more than two and a half times what she told us. By the time her allies asked the Legislature for the money, the total had climbed to $825 million.
The community showed up, and she ignored them. More than 1,800 people packed the Charleston High School gym a week after the announcement to tell the state no. It did not change her mind. The site also proved unsuitable for a prison geologically, hydrologically and infrastructurally.
Her own Republican Senate killed it — five times. Spending bills need 27 of the 35 state Senate votes. On the fifth and final try in 2025, the $750 million appropriation got 21 votes — six short, with seven of the nine "no" votes cast by Republicans. Sen. Bryan King (R-Green Forest) called the project "fiscally irresponsible" and said the "only winners" would be the contractors hired to build it.
Then she tried to purge the Republicans who stopped her — and went 0 for 3. In the March 2026 primaries she hand-picked a challenger against Sen. Ron Caldwell, who had voted against the prison money all five times; Caldwell won with about 70% of the vote. She backed a challenger against Bryan King, who took 60%. And she backed Sen. Blake Johnson, who lost his seat outright.
She still won't admit she was wrong. The project has been on hold for months with no work done beyond routine upkeep, and she didn't request construction money in her budget for the coming year. But she still says she has "yet to see a better alternative than the Franklin County location." The land sits empty.
Two years, $2.9 million of our money, and an empty field. Sarah Sanders picked this fight with a rural county the state never bothered to consult, lost it inside her own party, then tried to punish the Republicans who beat her and lost that too. Today one of the men who led the opposition, Colt Shelby, is on the ballot against her in November.
If Sarah Sanders can do this to the citizens of Franklin County, what could she do to your community? We deserve better.
Whether white, black, or brown, we should all be able to live in America and exercise our constitutional rights without fear that law enforcement will turn on us.
But the current administration has created a secret police force that is abusing their power against anyone who stands in their way, U.S. citizen or not. They claim to be going after "the worst of the worst", but are taking daycare workers, day laborers, grandmas and kids who are valued members of our communities. And Sarah Sanders, staunch defender of the Second Amendment to fight back against government tyranny, is doing absolutely nothing while the government tyrannizes us. Worse than that, she's actually helping them.
ProPublica:They describe the legions of masked immigration officers operating in near-total anonymity on the orders of the president as the crossing of a line that had long set the United States apart from the world's most repressive regimes. ICE, in their view, has become an unfettered and unaccountable national police force.
ProPublica:Accosting people outside of their immigration court hearings where they're showing up and trying to do the right thing and then hauling them off to an immigration jail in the middle of the country where they can't access loved ones or speak to counsel. Bands of masked men apprehending people in broad daylight in the streets and hauling them off. Disappearing people to a third country, to a prison where there's a documented record of serious torture and human rights abuse.
New York Times:Masked and heavily armed, ICE agents are sent to cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles and Minneapolis to terrorize immigrant communities and brutalize people who challenge their efforts to stop and detain anyone deemed suspicious. To expand its reach, ICE greatly lowered its recruitment standards, effectively enlisting anyone who cares to sign up. To attract new officers, ICE advertises the chance to do violence to people deemed “enemies” of the United States, likening civil immigration enforcement to a war on a dangerous, alien force. The result is an agency whose agents’ first recourse appears to be violence or the threat of violence.
They are executing American citizens. On January 7, 2026 an ICE agent in Minneapolis murdered an American citizen, a mother of 3, by shooting her in the face as she tried to drive away. Then the killer walked away, and our government lied and tried to gaslight us about what happened. Decent politicians condemned the murder. What did Sarah Sanders have to say? Nothing.
They are executing American citizens: Part 2. On January 24, 2026 ICE agents in Minneapolis murdered an American citizen, a 37 year old ICU nurse, who was filming their activity and trying to help others. Then our government lied and tried to gaslight us about what happened.
While that didn't work, she was able to weaken the FOIA so that she could hide the details of her travel, so we can't see how she's wasting our money.
Her hand-picked members of the Arkansas Educational Television Commission ratified a decision making Arkansas the first state in the country to sever ties with PBS — this despite 78% of Arkansans supporting PBS content, according to a board member who voted against it.
She has kept cutting the top personal and corporate income tax rates. Arkansas now loses about $1.8 billion a year in general revenue to those cuts. So... Tax breaks for the 1%, nothing for everyone else, and this is why we can't have nice things.
She tried to leave 30,000 Arkansans in House District 70 — and the whole of Senate District 26, home of Franklin County — without a representative through the Legislature's spring session, scheduling the special elections for those vacant seats 152 days past the deadline state law sets. She moved them up only after the courts ordered her to, and called those orders "unlawful" while complying.
Sarah Sanders doesn't work for you and doesn't want YOU telling HER what to do. We deserve better.
