Ann Wagner lined up behind a mid-decade gerrymander that carved up competitive seats and handed her safe new territory across Washington, Gasconade and Crawford counties. Then Republicans pushed Amendment 4 to give those newly rigged districts veto power over future citizen initiatives. Missouri voters obliterated it by 80 percent. Ann Wagner would rather redraw the lines to protect her job than let the people of Missouri have a direct say in their government.
