Tierra Walker was a 37-year-old Texas mother, dangerously sick during her pregnancy. She repeatedly asked doctors for an abortion to save her life, and because of Texas's extreme abortion ban, not one of her 90 doctors would help her — she died of preeclampsia at 20 weeks pregnant, leaving behind a 14-year-old son. Her family is now suing Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who has spent years threatening doctors with felony charges, suing to block emergency room care, and celebrating the end of abortion rights.
