Brian Fitzpatrick is flooding the airwaves with attack ads that quote local "news" headlines to smear his opponent. Every one of those articles was self-published on a local blog platform by Dave Sommers, a campaign operative who went to Fitzpatrick's wedding and was on his campaign payroll, and a convicted federal criminal who went to prison for trafficking protected turtles. Fitzpatrick calls himself an independent moderate, but he is willing to lie to keep power. It's time to vote him out.

His own financial disclosure shows a $145,902 Miami fire pension and a $79,751 Florida state pension. His wife draws a third. In January he qualified for a fourth, from Congress. As Miami-Dade mayor, he proposed cutting fire trucks while drawing the fire pension, and got commissioners to approve his own 67% raise, which grew his pension.

Veterans Guardian charges disabled veterans for help the VA gives free, and a federal judge has ruled it broke federal law. In March its two founders gave $88,600 to Dan Sullivan's joint fundraising committee, which passed the money to the Senate Republicans' campaign arm. One founder has also given Sullivan's own campaign $6,000.
