Tom Tiffany Took a $20,000 Donation in the Name of a Texas Billionaire Who Had Been Dead for 27 Days. He Still Hasn't Given It Back.

Campaign finance records show Tom Tiffany's campaign for Wisconsin governor took the legal maximum from Dallas billionaire Darwin Deason on Dec. 29, 2025. Deason died Dec. 2. It also took a second $20,000 from the same Windsor household that put one donor over the limit, and the state's records show no refund. It didn't respond to Civic Media's request for comment.
