Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville took to the Senate floor to call for bringing back mental institutions, claim trans people are fueling a wave of violent crime, and warn that airline pilots are secretly "furries." He blamed trans people for high-profile attacks, including the Trump assassination attempt, a rumor Trump's own FBI had already debunked. Trans people make up less than one percent of mass shooters and are over four times more likely to be the victims of violent crime. Now he wants to be governor of Alabama.
